I am (volunteer) with the US Geological Survey and help run the Water Science School.
We want to expand and create some online 'games' about water for teachers to use, but we don't know much about what activities are needed and if they would be used. So, I'd like to ask teachers for suggestions of water-based activities for us to create. These would be playable as online, interactive tools.
First question is, is there even a need for this? Maybe there is plenty of online activites already?
Some ideas of course:
- Crossword puzzles
- Word search
- Word match (drag definition from right side to correct term on left side).
- Online jigsaw puzzle
- True/False quiz
- Fill in the blank sentences listing
And, if we want to reach multiple grades, should we create, say, 3 levels of each one? (Beginner, Medium, Advanced students?)
Well, any ideas and suggestions are appreciated...even telling us that the demand for these types of activities are already satisfied.
