Hello All! I am teaching two lessons on Human evolution next week and I was wondering if anyone had any awesome resources for teaching this topic in a more hands on fashion. I am struggling to find ways to make the lesson engaging for students.
Check hhmi.org in the Biointeractive site. I've been using their materials for both levels of Biology I'm teaching.
I saw a great lesson in the magazine Science and Children last months issue about evolution and adaptation. It is called Ring Ring, I believe. It might give you some good ideas.
You might check if there is a post-secondary school that has either materials/instructor or an instructor who can come out to the school or supply you with visuals to aid in the understanding.
