Hello! I will be student teaching in August. I am finishing up this semester by teaching science to 3rd graders on simple machines. Part of my assignment is to create a summative assessment for my portion of the lesson plans in the unit. I will be teaching the first three lessons on inclined planes, wedges, and screws. Can you think of a summative assessment besides a paper test or quiz for the students that will include all three simple machines? It is my goal to make sure students have an understanding for these first three simple machines before they move on to the next three. Any ideas would be truly appreciated. Thanks! -Tori
