How can I teach my students that there might be life in space and that we are not alone?

Dear Alondra: You don't say what grade you teach, and, of course, that has a lot to do with the resources someone might recommend.

To get yourself up to speed on the latest thinking, you might want to read Chapter 30 of the free, introductory, online astronomy textbook for which I am one of the authors: http://bit.ly/astronomytextbook

You might look at the Life in the Universe curriculum materials from the SETI Institute at: https://www.seti.org/education-outreach/life-universe-litu-curriculum-files

Older students might enjoy doing my 'Who Speaks for Earth?' activity, which can be found at: https://www.fraknoi.com/articles-books/classroom-activities-on-astronomy/

I hope this gets you started,

Andrew Fraknoi
