Great Collection
I thoroughly enjoyed looking through your collection. I loved how you picked the topic “earth and space science” because it’s broad enough to be able to research so many different subtopics as well. I really enjoyed reading through the articles and books you chose to put into your collection. The first one you put was “Cloud Watchers”, it came from a trade book and I loved it. It was very animated and aside from the section you added, there are so many other awesome topics that would be used as well. They had engineering, technology and applications of science; they had physical and life science too. You also added an article called, “Developing Inquiring Minds: Students using chromatography to separate the colors in fall leaves” which I thought was so interesting and fun for students to do and learn about. I liked how the article went through the entire experiment and told you how to execute it. Next, was the “Precipitation Matters” article, and I really liked that. I love anything that has to do with weather, especially the rain. This article went through a science experiment that had to do with the shape and sizes of raindrops, and I thought that would be fascinating to do with students. Then you added a book on “Bringing outdoor science in” and I loved it. Very animated and cute, and had so many different topics to cover. They had greening the school, insects, plants, rocks and soils, water and in the sky; and at the very end they have the answer keys for the whole book. The last two articles you added have to do with the solar system and looked very interesting. One had to so with the solar system models; comparing the old ones to the newer ones. The second one, had to do with the shadows and lights around the sun. Overall, I really enjoyed how you covered so many different topics, even thought it was all under the Earth and Science umbrella. You added such good and interesting articles to use and gather information from. Great job!
