Science and Young Learners
I enjoyed reading this article. It gave a lot of great ideas to implement in the classroom. I really liked the topic that she chose to start with. The teacher did a great job with getting control back in the classroom and was able to revamp the way the students worked together to prevent mass chaos. But chaos sometimes is okay because students are learning and being in charge of their own learning. It showed that students can learn that they do not all share the same opinions and that is okay and how to work around disagreeing with each other.

Science in Kindergarten
This was a great article. I am a preservice teacher in Kindergarten and I have worked with students in a small group setting on Earth's Materials and to see their little faces filled with excitement, questions and wonderment on what we were about to do is so exciting and fulfilling. I like how this article focuses on expanding on the curiosity of kindergarten students. I think that we should start with our younger students to get them excited and curious to learn more about science.
