I will be student teaching in the fall and I noticed the same thing during my field experience. Some schools really wanted their teachers to teach science but at other schools they were more focused on reading and math. I will be student teaching next fall in a third grade classroom. I taught science this semester in a third grade classroom. I liked the lessons I did and the students enjoyed them and learned as well.
