R. Penn "Food Chain" Collection
Mon, Mar 19, 2018 10:10 AM Review on “R. Penn "Food Chain" ” Collection
I believe this collection is very complete and helpful. The topic of the lesson is food chains and this collection includes a wide variety of sources to research on that topic like books, journal articles, and among those she also included sample lessons of how to teach this subject. I find it very interesting how the author of the collection also included one particular article that introduces the students to microscopic life which is something that the students will certainly find amusing because it might probably be something they have not thought of before. This collection gives me an idea of how the author probably will design her lesson by gradually introducing information from the most basic species to more complex animals. She also uses information from the Scipack which is something she is already familiar with and knows in depth how helpful the information provided there is. In this collection it is also included information not only about food chains but also about how animals obtain energy which is a very important topic to teach as well.
