My NSTA / Peers / Lexie Golden

Hi, my name is Lexie Golden! I am nineteen years old and from Sparta, Tennessee. I have recently "retired" from playing sports myself and have stepped into a role in coaching. I currently serve as an assistant coach for Findlay Elementary School on both the boys' and girls' teams. I also coach a youth league basketball team. Excluding sports, my interests include serving as a small group teacher for the second and third graders at Life Church in Sparta. I currently work at EduCare Early Learning Center LLC in Sparta. I have been working there for a year now, where I serve in several age groups ranging from three months to five years. I come from a long line of educators, which led me to follow this path. I love being surrounded by kids. They provide a humbling, yet loving atmosphere that cannot be matched. I am a huge family girl. I have one younger sister, Lenzie. Coral Reef Ecosystem Review

I was given an assignment by one of my professors to complete an online E-book though the NSTA online textbook and I chose the Coral Reef Ecosystems E-book. In choosing my topic, I weighed my decision based on what looked the coolest. This book was a great way for me to gain a surplus of information about the coral reef. When I began this book I was intrigued from the start. I felt called back to the book each time I had to stop my reading. When it came time for me to take the final test, I passed with flying colors because of my meaningful note taking and knowledge retained from this great book. Overall, I would suggest this book to anyone whether that is for a class or for your own personal reading.
