I agree!

I could not agree more with this article. The article really explains my belief of importance in visual learning. Some people like to exclude visual learning for the children because they think the children needs to become more word-concentrated learners, and I really don’t think this is a way to teach children. As an ESOL student, visual learning has helped me out throughout my middle school year. It is an international teaching strategy where it directs student to understand the concept. The article mentioned about making models and maps, and developing mental pictures. I also think the visual-spatial learning can allow these factors into students’ educations in many ways and thought this article is important for teachers to read and aware of importance in visual-spatial learning.

Earth and Space Science chapter review

I found this really helpful resource for getting started with different types of the earth and space science concept. I liked how the chapter itself was divided into different grade levels of the elementary; primary, middle, and upper elementary. This can allow teachers to look at the text and use the content area that matches the grade level they are currently teaching. This chapter not only gave teacher the information about the concept, but how to use the knowledge in the classroom as well. It also provided list of assessments that could be used, as well as the examples of assessments which were used in different teacher’s classroom. So I thought it was very resourceful where I, as a future teacher, can use some of the activities introduced in the book.
