Thu, Jul 23, 2020 4:19 AM Ladybugs as learning science
I found this article very informative about how this teacher integrated the science standards of analyzing data, obtaining, evaluating, and communicating Information. The teacher used inquiry of the students interest to facilitate the learning of the life cycle of the ladybug. They also used predictions and prior knowledge for assessment of what they predicted or knew about the life cycle and then assess the students learning after the lesson by different ways the students could demonstrate their understanding.
Thu, Jul 23, 2020 4:10 AM Lesson plans for the Outdoor learner
This is a great resource for the teacher who wants to integrate the outdoors and learning into their classroom. I am going to adapt these lesson plans for all of my students to learn about nature and environment. The lessons integrate students inquiry with investigation so that the student are active in their own learning.
Thu, Jul 23, 2020 4:01 AM Using interest to convey learning
I really enjoyed reading this article, which portrays using student interest to facilitate learning. It also was a great example of using multiple intelligences to express the different learning of the students. The students were involved in their learning about the ladybug by integrating all forms of how students learn. All standards of math, language arts, communication, writing, and science were integrated within the learning of the ladybug.
