Great Resource for Elementary School classrooms!
This collection is a great resource for a teacher doing a unit on Interdependence. Not man teacher are informed themselves on what Interdependence is and this collection would not only give them teaching ideas, but it would also teach them everything they need to know about interdependence. One of the things that stood out to me in this collection is that the creator added a sci-guide. Sci-guides are very helpful to teachers because they give them lesson plans on different things, the one in this collection is about organisms. The sci-guide is intended for grades k-4, which makes it useful for teachers of many different grades. This sci-guide teaches students everything a child needs to know about organisms and gives teachers options when choosing which lesson plan to use. One section is labeled communities when it is clicked on it gives you a short description a lesson plan, an audio clip, and examples of activities that can be done. It also gives you three other sections to teach which are, Animal species, Life Cycles, and Plant Species. In my opinion the sci-guide is the best part of this collection because it not only teaches with the information it shares, but also includes lesson plans and activities to teach the information. There are journal article that are very informative as well, the journal articles can be read together as a class. Journal articles are very useful resources in an elementary school classroom as well. Overall I enjoyed reviewing this Resource collection and I think that it would be a great resource for an elementary school classroom.
