Engineering Encounters: Optimizing Your K–5 Engineering Design Challenge

Fantastic breakdown of teaching science
As a preservice teacher about to start planning fifth grade science lessons, this article was fantastic! This article broke down seven really important ideas that teachers should keep in mind when planning and preparing to teach science. Before reading this article, I was feeling pretty lost about where to begin. Having these seven recommendations to refer to will definitely come in handy. My lesson is going to be about Native Americans and engineering design so optimization 6 was especially important to me because activating background knowledge will be important to situate the engineering project!
