My professor did an activity with us and Oobleck. He used the Dr. Seuss book to get us engaged and then had Oobleck for us to explore with. We all got to touch it and make guesses about what it was and what form of matter it was. Anything hands on gets kids engaged and keeps them interested!

I'm student teaching while taking classes for my senior year in college as well! In my methods class, our professor does 5E lessons with us to allow us to see how they're formatted while also letting us do hands on activities that we could use with out future students. We use these in my college courses as well. I like that it keeps me organized and it keeps everything for each class in it's own notebook. I can always go back and reference what I've done and learned in class.
