My NSTA / Peers / Terry Contant

As a long-term science-educator, I'm currently involved with a variety of projects that excite me. I'm a co-auther of an elementary/middle school Science Methods Textbook: Teaching Science through Inquiry-based Instruction - 13 ed. I consult with school districts in southeastern Connecticut to support implimentation of NGSS alligned STEM curricula, serve of CT State science assessment committees, and as the 2012-2014 President of Connecticut Science Teachers Association continue to serve on the CSTA Board. For NSTA, I'm a volunteer helping to review the "Thinking, Acting, and Communicating Like Scientists: A Focus on Disciplinary Literacy" strand proposals for the 2020 Boston national conference. As a life-long-learner, I enjoy traveling and discovering new phenomena to further explore.
