Life Science - Gracie
For this collection, I have included a webinar, 3 journal articles, 2 webpages, a book, and a lesson plan. The webinar is centered toward older elementary students. This webinar talks about using online life science resources in the classroom. The journal articles all are different articles that talk about different life science topics you can do. For example, nonliving and living and ecosystem in a jar. The book is a book that you can buy that teaches students about organisms. The websites are resources for activities you can do with students. The jumpstart one, is technology based and is different games and modules student can do online. The last thing is a lesson plan that I can use as a model on how to do a life science lesson. This lesson plan includes the 5 E's which is why I liked it.

I used this as resources for activities. I also have included two journal articles. These articles talk about having fun with with force and motion and learning matter by ice-cream. Connecting ideas to things student's relate to allow them to learn it better. This is why I like this articles because it connects to the student's interest. I have also included a blog post that talks about force and motion and included a book that you can use in our future classrooms. This book is for elementary instruction in the classroom. The last two are web pages that are very good to use in the classroom. One article gives resources for physical science and activities to do. The other web page gives vide

I think if you communicate your expectations and rules then the students will know and listen. If a student is not following the expectations or meeting your expectations then communicate that w...

Hey, so I believe the best way to introduce students to science is by relating it to them and why it is relevant for them. I also think having the students involved when you introduce the lesson is also really good. Allowing the students to either be hands on or particpating is very important when introducing the lesson and gaining their attention. For example, today we learned about shadows. To ...
