Great week long lesson!

- the journal article was the title. I am always looking for lessons that can last and be expanded for a period of time, so I was very happy when I read it and saw all of the information I could give my students in a week long lesson about all things space related. - I learned different ways of assessments for lessons like these is through an interactive journal. This got me thinking of ways I could use an interactive journal for assessing all types of lessons that are longer than 1 day. - 3.7 and 3.8 would be good TEKS to use for this lesson. There are so many different aspects of this lesson that it can cover so many different topics my students need to learn. The sun, moon, Galaxy’s, differed planets, research, and seasons. - I agree with all of the different ideas that educators should connect in this week long lesson. Earth and space have so many different aspects and I think it’s important to connect them in a way for students to learn it interconnected.

Awesome tool!

- I chose to put this article in my collection because I loved how there were 5 different lessons that are explained out for us to use and implement in our classrooms. Each lesson has so many different types of energy for our students to explore and begin to understand. - I learned how to find and explain the energy found in any toy. This is something that our students can easily understand because of what they play with at home. -4.(6) Force, motion, and energy. The student knows that energy exists in many forms and can be observed in cycles, patterns, and systems. The student is expected to: (A) differentiate among forms of energy, including mechanical, sound, electrical, light, and thermal. This TEK would work in my 4th grade classroom when completing all of these lessons throughout the week to introduce the different types of energy. - I really enjoyed reading this article because it gave me so many ideas about how to teach about energy. Im so excited to use these experiments in my classroom to show students first hand what energy is!

Great Journal Article!

- This journal article caught my eye when I was looking for materials on organisms and environment. The ideas that were talked about like bringing students into a place they have seen many times, but looking for specific things. - Something I learned from this article is that when students explore their environment, it helps them develop science-process skills which is very important for the inquiry in science education. - TEK: K(8) Earth and space. The student knows that there are recognizable patterns in the natural world and among objects in the sky. The student is expected to:(A) observe and describe weather changes from day to day and over seasons;. I would use this TEK in my kindergarten classroom In the month of February so students can see the change from winter to spring when we are learning about seasons. - This article was very straight forward and I agreed with everything it said. I wondered if students could also collect evidence of the season change?
