An exciting concept....possibly modified

I have seen this used as a student project, and it works really well. My only note is that fewer students know Sesame Street anymore and I may attempt with another set of characters more popular to the time.

A good way of connecting to 6th graders....

My 6th graders really enjoyed getting to read a story book (which is also nice for ELL students). In addition, they could use this to make a connection to the material, and in what better way than with food. We did this as a supplement to class activities, but will definitely reevaluate to include more concepts and in-class time.
