SCE 4310 Review
This collection contains various resources that can be useful when planning a lesson or activity on decomposition, or even food chains. The article titled "Recycling the Dead" details decomposition and its benefits in detail. Additionally, it outlines how global warming might affect decomposition, and decomposed materials for biofuels. The next article on entomology details varied insect decomposers and their role in recycling dead matter. Last, the PDF titled "Who Eats What?" provides a wealth of information food webs, and animals signs which would be useful during outdoor lessons. This PDF provides visuals for track and scat identification, web/egg/cocoon identification, and pictures to help identify what animals have eaten plants and trees. One section even details animals, habitats, and food sources. I found this resource to be especially useful and would use this resource in my own classroom.
