I am a student at SDSU, going to school to get my Multiple Subject Teaching Credential in order to be a kindergarten teacher. I have an undergraduate degree in Child Development. I am currently a nanny to two different families and I just love it. I am also pre-student teaching in a kindergarten class in Point Loma. This includes observing my master teacher, assisting with lesson prep, teaching mini small group lessons and teaching a few whole class lessons.

Definitely have the students work in small groups of 5-7. I am in a student teaching in a kindergarten class right now, and even though those students are 5 years old, and many of them have behavioral issues, they work so much better in small groups. I never even thought about typing animals into the weather. I could see it as a way to teach seasons. But as just the basics of teaching weather, I think that it would be more conducive to teach just the types of weather first, especially because they are kindergarten.
