Useful Collection

I liked the resources that you provided to help teach about the earth, sun, and moon. You took the time to find a variety of beneficial resources:book chapters, journal articles, science objects, and many external resource.I personally liked the phases of the moon chapter book that you included. I also thought the chapter book called "The Changing Moon." The lesson plan includes the 5E method, and is detailed enough for anyone to follow.

Nutrition Collection

Excellent Teacher Resources

This collection entails many resources to encourage healthy nutrition to students. The articles in this collection share essential information that teachers may use in the classroom to teach children about food as a source of energy. When planning a lesson on nutrition, these articles may enclose vital material that may be used to teach students about this subject. I found many activities that can be applied to target different standards related to nutrition. These activities fit various age groups in the elementary level. Teachers may refer to these scipacks and science objects to accumulate strategies to emphasize healthy food choices to children. Further, children learn about malnutrition and how to prevent it in one of the articles (which should be included in a lesson plan on nutrition). The article “Going Bananas Over Fruit,” provides activities that can be used to teach students about various topics: additives in food, food labels, ingredients, and natural and synthetic foods. This was my favorite article in this collection. I’d definitely use some of these activities to teach young children about nutrition. It incorporated habits from the habits of mind that every teacher should apply in the classroom.
