It’s great to have the 'inside scoop" on the really good things hidden amongst all the information that the Scipacks have to offer. I'll be sure to take a look at this particular part of the SciPack so I can also incorporate it into my lessons about season for next school year. Interdependence of Life
Sun, Nov 04, 2012 3:52 PM Interdependence of Life: Kindergarten
The Interdependence of Life SciGuide is filled with lesson plans, media resources, and links. The SciGuide is suggested for the middle school level however it can easily be adapted to the primary classroom. The topics of invasive species and food webs make this SciGuide easily attainable for even my Kindergarten students. The "other resources" lists a variety of books and articles for the k - 4 groups. The selections are useful and wihtin reach for the students.
Nutrition: Grades K-4
Sun, Nov 04, 2012 9:33 AM Nutrition :Grades K - 4
The Nutrition: Grades K - 4 Sci-Pack is filled with useful information for the primary grade levels. The SciPacks offers many resources and worksheets for classroom use. The linked resouces were very useful for a variety of videos and clips that can be used in my Kindergarten classroom. The videos and clips will explain such topics as things in your refridgerator and the need for calcium for strong bones. The worksheets made available are simple for the Kindergarten students to follow and cute too. The SciPack is a great resource for the primary grade levels.
