I agree turtles make great class pets. I have three and they not only are very low maintenance, but they also can be picked up and held easily without the fear of them biting one of your students.

Wow! I had heard of "Teachers Pay Teachers" but had never explored the site before. I am completely amazed. Thank you so much for sharing this, I definitely will use it in my classroom and will be visiting this site more often.

I also agree. I am student teaching in a second grade classroom where the teacher uses the science notebook as if it were a science binder. The teacher gives the students very few guidelines as to how to organize the book but uses it like a portfolio that keeps track of the students learning.
