I love integrating literature with all contents. Picture books are my best friend with this. There is never a student too old to enjoy a read aloud and picture books are a neat and quick way to get students thinking about a concept no matter the content. Great Resource!

This journal article is filled with a creative teacher made activity covering the roles organisms play in ecosystems. I did something similar with a group of my students and it was beneficial to find an activity that increased student comprehension and engagement in the science classroom. I used this as a guide to creating my own food web game to play with students.
