I'm a student teacher and I am at a school that currently uses CHAMPS. This is a very specific way of getting your students focused and understanding what your expectations are. C is for conversation level, H is how they should ask for help, A is for activity, M is for movement, P is for participation, and S is for success! Here is a link for a more in depth explanation.

I think that is a great idea. I am a finishing my teaching degree and the school I'm at is planning a family STEM night. I think its a great way for parents to get involved and see what their children are learning.
