Id love to know more about Sandy's 'mastery' approach to assessing that was discussed.
Are there some specific articles or resources which you have found useful in developing your approach which I might use to find out more and refer other teachers to ?

I agree with the people who have admitted that even though we might have studied science, and even (gulp) worked in science, that being and feeling prepared to teach it (or anything) does not necessarily follow from being an 'expert' in science. ;(
What has helped me to break out of my expert area is to think about how to map all of science to a fairly small matrix of 9 or 10 key concepts. I'...
