Hi!
Maybe you could pass around things to do with plants that won't be messy such as seeds, leaves, petals etc. Also having the students draw what they see when growing the plant. If there are clear pots they would be able to easier see what's happening under the soil and learn more that way.

Hello,
This is something that I think is very important as well. However I think a bit of controlled chaos is great. Bringing more art into the classroom as well as writing without a prompt on "Fun Fridays" would allow for more creativity.
