I think it is important to set expectations with your students beforehand. Let the students know what you expect to happen during the lesson behavior wise. Ive seen teachers using doorbell's in their classrooms as attention getters; I think that is neat. I think that science can be incorporated at any age, and needs to be! Whether the kids realize it or not, science is all around us and can be incoprated easily. Read a book about science, go outside and explore, do an experiment. Get those students involved with hands on activities because it helps the students retain information.

I think incorporating robotics is a great way to have STEM in a classroom. Robotics is a way to let students show knowledge in a critical thinking setting; group work would be fantastic with this! This would pertain to upper elmentary.
