I was in my classroom today and I was wondering about how ESOL and ESE students are trying to understand science concepts and inquiries. So I was wondering what are someways you can help ESOL and ESE students understand the concept as well as the different inquiries and how you can make sure that they understand the lesson?

I feel that it is an amazing idea to allow students to reflect what they learned in science journals. Even myself who is in a college course have teachers that require us to complete a journal entry on what we have done. I also feel that it is a great way for teachers to see whether or not the students understood the concepts being taught and if they might have to look back to the lesson to see wh...

I was in a classroom last year before I took my teaching science class this year. While I was there, I noticed that there was barely science being taught and the reason the teacher gave me was because there was no time.
As an incoming teacher, I have always wondered what teachers should do in order to make sure that science is being taught in a classroom?

I enjoyed looking at your collection and the articles and journals that are in here. They are very educational with great details and they are some that I would use in my classroom. I liked the science objects. I saw them to be engaging as well as the chapter on fruit flies. It was very detailed about the patterns of inheritance.
Preparing to Teach Elementary Education Collection
Fri, Nov 28, 2014 3:05 PM Collection Review
I really enjoyed your collection on Preparing to Teach Elementary Education. The articles that she are in the collections gives future science teachers different options on how to teach science while making it enjoyable and fun for students. I enjoyed the article about team teaching. This has great ideas on how to teach in a classroom that involves two teachers and how to communicate with each other in order to be a successful classroom. One of the other articles that I enjoyed in the collection is the article that discusses how to teach science topics around certain themes to a classroom. This article I find very useful to especially teachers that have just started and have to teach science lessons. I feel that sometimes teachers are put into classrooms that they are not really familiar with the lessons so by you putting this kind of article will be extremely helpful for new teacher including myself as well as other incoming teacher. I also feel that it is useful to teachers that have been around for years and it is a good way to give them new ideas on how to teach a certain science topic to students. I truly enjoyed your collection especially since I am becoming a future teacher and would like to know what is expected of me to teach a science class at least. I found that each of the articles were extremely useful to me and I will use these articles in order to have a classroom that is enjoyable to all students as well as myself. Each article had great key points and amazing details that can be used for teachers as well as anyone else that is interested in studying science and becoming future teachers. I also enjoyed that it explains how to create lesson that involve inquiry based learning. I know that if I need advice or tips that this will be the collection to go to. Awesome Job Jessica!
