My NSTA / Peers / Kimberly Morales

I currently work in a kindergarten class as an instructional assistant. I enjoy this age group but I would love to teach second grade. I would say one of my favorite courses taken in college was Biology 101. I love to do do hands on activities to me it's one of the best ways to learn! I am pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Modern language and linguistics with a concentration in Spanish and also a certification in Elementary Education. I would love to teach Spanish at the elementary level in the future!

Sizing Up the Solar System

excellent article

This article gives a perfect idea on how to teach your students how to create their own model of the solar system. It gives you great ideas on how to start and keep your students motivated during the lesson. I really enjoyed reading this article and I think it's an excellent tool to use when teaching about the solar system.

Very informative

The information in this article is very useful to classroom teachers. It states the importance illustrations have in the learning process. It explains how illustrations are both important for comprehension and attention. I believe it is important as a teacher to provide many opportunities to your students to have that time to see and make their own illustrations.
