I love experiments like the Skittles one because they allow students to observe general behavior and reactions to certain things. One of my favorite experiments is the celery or white flowers in dyed water. Watching the change in color helps students see how different parts of a plant support the whole plant and its growth.

I think it is largely because when we think about what paleontologists do (studying remains and fossils) we have a direct association with dinosaurs because that is a common thing most people know about and we can connect fossils and make discoveries to dinosaurs. Hi! I agree with Allie's suggestions. My main suggestion is to encorage students to safely explore thins they find in their home. This builds diffectly off Allie's suggestion to do things like build, just be sure building materials and builds are safe. Same with cooking. Be sure to be consious of easy to access suggestions.
