Hello! My name is Jocelyn Bouchair. I am a senior at Wright State University in the Elementary Education program. This year I will be student teaching in a third grade classroom. I am also a part-time server. I love learning new things and connecting with others in an academic environment. I couldn't be more excited to begin my career as an elementary school teacher!

In my courses at WSU we actually just spoke about these books. One of the authors defenses that she uses is that her books utilize Mrs. Frizzle and The Magic School Bus as literary devices. She talks about how she presents scientific material to students in a fun/ engaging way using the fictional portions of the show as a tool. I think this is such an improtant discussion! I am currently in a 3rd grade classroom. I recently implemented a 3D, 5E lesson plan with an NGSS standard. I found this really fun and engaging. My students learned a lot of new information and applied it very well. I like this model for science lessons a lot. I really do think this is the best way to reach all of our students....

This is a great resource! I used this for a 3D, 5E lesson plan for my third graders in my current student teaching placement. This collection helped me plan and execute the associated national standard. This resource makes your life so much easier when planning a lesson! There is so much information within that will benefit your students. I would recommend adding this resource to your library.

This is a wonderful resource for an elementary teacher! I love the engaging lessons and presentation of material. This collection does a great job of incorporating materials that students ask questions about all the time. This is a really helpful resource for teachers to understand what their students will be learning in later grades and how to prepare them for this material. I would definitely recommend adding this collection to your NSTA library!
