Hi, my name is Karlie Howe and I am a student teacher at the University of Hawaii at Manoa. I was born and raised on the Big Island, in a small town called Waikoloa Village. My favorite subject to teach is English language arts. I love teaching reading and writing lessons. Some of my hobbies include baking and reading. I have attended UH Manoa for three years and attended my junior year of college at UH Hilo on the Big Island.

I think a good first step to helping the students in your class start asking questions is to model what this looks like. You can explicitly model to your students by thinking aloud and giving example questions to show them what kinds of questions they can ask.
