Good review and connection for standard D
This chapter provides information on content standard D about earth and science. The texts are separated by K-2, 3-4, and 5-6. Each section provides the nature of learner providing insight of students’ possible knowledge, and basic science vocabulary and information, key points of assessments, and an example in real class setting. This would be helpful to see the overview of what students need to know about earth and space science based on a grade level.

Good for thematic unit
This SciGuide provides brief information and link to other informative sites to compare and contrast Mars and the Earth. The main theme is about life form in Mars. Through this, the content provides evidence for extinct life on the Earth and how it relates to Mars, evidence for climate, and habitats. Each theme has at least one lesson resource which includes lesson plan. This would be good for teachers who are looking resources for a thematic unit on Mars.
