Ruth Ruud is the NSTA Head Reviewer for the Shell Science Lab Regional Challenge Competition. She taught elementary and middle school science; served on the Superintendent’s Staff as Coordinator of Science, Math and Technology Special Projects; and was an elementary administrator. Ruth is currently an adjunct for Cleveland State University. Ruth is the past chair of NSTA Awards and Recognition and NSTA Investment committees, and has served on the NSTA Shell Teaching Awards Committee She is a reviewer for state and national awards and grants, including NSTA Exploravision. Ruth has received the Presidential Award for Excellence in Science Teaching, Milken Educator Award, and is a published author. Ruth is a presenter at state and NSTA Conferences. She coauthored Teaching STEM Literacy. Ruth is a member of Florida Association of Science Teachers and a life member of Pennsylvania Science Teachers' Association.
