I found an eBook called, Writing Strategies for Science, Grades 1-8 by Sarah Kartchner Clark and Stephanie Macceca. The book may be a useful resource for classroom teachers. By the way, one of the topics in the book was journal writing.

I think this is where many teachers have "missed the mark." Science should be hands-on and relevant for our students. Textbook learning is not fun or memorable. Hi Melinda,
I think this is where many teachers have "missed the mark." Science should be hands-on and relevant for our students. Textbook learning is not fun or memorable. We have to get our students interested in Science. Some of my most memorable experiences are the hands-on activities from high school and college. Why would it be any different for my students?
