I agree! I am a student teacher and we talked about this in my methods class before. At the school I am at most of the teachers in my grade level don't really value science, if they can get to it great if not they will eventually teach something by the end of the week. I am a student teacher and I find myself in this type of situation myself. What I try to do is let the students know that I don't know the answer but that we can look for it together. I let them know that many times we won't always know the answer to things and because of that that is how we learn. I try to connect myself with the students so they also know its ok not to know the answer sometimes ...

Thanks for this resource, it was great! I recently had to do a presentation on STEM and did not know how to make it engaging and interesting to my students. What a fun way to integrate both ideas together. Even though I do agree upon the food allergies and also parent issues with letting their students eat candy at school.
