My NSTA / Peers / Tania Marien

Tania Marien is the host and producer of the Talaterra podcast, a contributor to "The Carbon Almanac" (July 2022), and “Storytelling to Accelerate Climate Solutions” (Springer Nature 2024). Her work revolves around independent professionals who establish connections between the public and the outdoors. She recognizes the efforts of these professionals because it is central to our understanding of how people learn about science and the environment outside of the classroom and outside traditional informal learning sites such as museums and nature centers. Tania's projects draw on her experiences as an independent environmental education professional, first as the full-time editor, educator, and bookseller at ArtPlantae and now as a podcast producer, writer, researcher, and network builder.
