Although this seems like an enjoyable lesson for second graders, it can pose some problems with classroom management. Students might be tempted to eat the Oreo cookies and may not know that the cookie represents the moon. I absolutely agree that math and English are the two primary subjects that are focused in today's schools, but it also depends on the district, the school, and the teacher.
