As a pre-service teacher, this is the first time I see Bloom's Taxonomy as a clog rather than a hierarchy and it makes a lot of sense. Ashmara is right, science is rarely seen being taught by itself in the classroom. I believe that since the students are not too exposed to science, as you said, you must take into consideration the preconceptions that the students might have about the science concept you are going to teach.
