Thank you for the great idea and the blog link. great hands on/safe science experiments for elementary age students. I will be suggesting a family science night at my son's school. I'm sure they would love the idea. Some of the experiments in the blog I already tried with my son at home, and he loved it. Hands on activities always stimulate kids' thinking and get the concept stick in their brain.

Thank you George Mehler for the great YouTube channel. I checked some of the videos and subscribed to the channel. The videos tell teachers "do not panic, you do not need expensive materials in order to deliver the science concept effectively". I'm glad I read your post. Now I have a huge list of science lab activities, which requires materials that you can afford and available most of the time.

Science and English Language Learners Collection

Resources for ELL's
This is a great collection that constitutes the major resources for science teachers and any teacher with students learning English as a second language. The article "Challenges and Solutions for ELLs" is very important article to start with because it addresses the challenges ELL students face in the science classroom or in any classroom in general, it also offers for teachers suggestions and strategies on how to help students who fave those challenges. . Also the "Unlocking the Power of Observation" article is great for learners who are struggling to succeed, because it has ideas on how to conduct an easy inquiry lesson that will make those new learners experience fun and easy way to learn.
