Hi Stephanie, with the implementation of technology there are a lot of good apps students could use in the higher elementary grades. Stolaris is a good one that could be used as a class. It can be very challenging at times to use though so be careful! Also, I read someone used playdoh to make solar systems at their desks. Hope this helped!

Hello everyone, I was wondering if you all had any good ideas for teaching the solar system in the classroom. As a kid, my teacher would use a lot of 3D models and I have used that myself as well, but was wondering if there was something more I could do to make the students feel more engaged instead of just having the 3D model. Thank you!
