Thanks for posting this wonderful idea! The notion of older kids showing the younger ones how to do fun hands-on activities is delightful. In my opinion, it is a learning experience for all involved. And the fact that it's called "Family Science Night" is awesome because it hopefully draws parents into the school, and involves them in their child's education even more. Thank you so much for sharing your knowledge and talents with all of us here! I'm a pre-service teacher-to-be and your collection is a great resource for my future teaching experiences. I also love the fact that you teach in Vacaville, CA because I have family there. I have visited from Florida and I absolutely love it. Lots of green, open spaces to relax in. The Solar System Collection

This collection is by far my favorite out of all of the ones we should review! The solar system has always been, and will always be, a staple in elementary education. This collection provides us with many interesting factors that make up our solar system. There is an extensive amount of information provided by the many resources listed. Some of the information is on Earth itself, but one is able to compound it together with the other information and get the full scope of the lesson to be learned. Overall, I believe it is a well-made up collection that any teacher would enjoy incorporating into his/her classroom!
