Kevin- How is the administration at your school when it comes to scheduling? We were not able to ensure protected Science time until the admin made it a requirement to dedicate a segment of time daily to Science instruction. Mayleen-- You make a great point. I think for kids with no real life experience that it's really important to simulate real life as much as possible via multi-sensory means. Watching videos, making "snow" etc. would really benefit them. Naomi Beverly

I Love SciGuides!

SciGuides are really fantastic. When it's time to teach this area, I can be confident knowing I'll have the Tides and Currents SciGuide to go to for lesson plans, simulations, and web-based resources. I'll be able to create outstanding lessons in a shorter amount of time since many resources are easily accessible in this SciGuide.
