Next major scientific revolution
Have you heard of nanofabric or anti-graffiti paint? Me, neither!! I am planning to use this book for a self-paced science elective at an alternative school. The nanoscience curriculum is loaded with great background information and interesting inquiry activities to illustrate the objectives. It follows the 5E process and has Student Data Sheets for all sections. It uses good lab procedures with simple materials to tie together all the science fields. This is definitely a major new idea in science.

Simple and Helpful
Having taught middle school chemistry and intregrated chemistry for years, I was impressed how this little book clarified the chemical concepts of electronegativity, polarity, and ionic and covalent bonding for me. Some of the examples were very simple- however, that is the purpose of the book. I'm anxious to see how other topics are approached in the next volume.

Fun Career Guide
High school seniors told me this book was interesting, had good information, and was not drawn out. It has clever and original careers. One girl said she is thinking about a career in science after looking through this book.
