I have read many articles about teaching science to ELLs (since I am not currently teaching) and was wondering if a year in your science class is enough to make an impact or an educational leap for ELLs. In Gupta's "Assessments as Learning," Performance Based Assessments (PBA) were introduced, which I have not had any experience with (yet!).
