A Must for Todays Science Classroom
The article mentions that often as Science teachers we often feel incorporating a multicultural approach to teaching falls primarily to the humanities but nothing could be further from the truth. I love how the article stresses the importance of making sure we are accommodating the learning and assessing styles of all students in a culturally relevant manner. If you haven't seen the short video Immersion, I highly recommend watching it for greater insight. I also enjoyed the recommendations for weaving a multicultural approach into teaching your curriculum. I recently discovered www.epals.com which allows classrooms across the globe to unit for Science projects.
