Hello, I think it would be awesome to have them first predict what would happen, if they would sink or float. I would then have a few different materials to make the boats from. WOW! I honestly think this is a great collection of resources. I think it is great how it covers so much information as well as providing activities. Weather, animals and activities are included so I feel this collection is very well rounded. I loved the article on termite trails because it provides explanations and an activity that the students can be hands on with.The activity includes students making claims and reporting evidence which as a future teacher I believe this is extremely important. Before any activity I think students should make a claim just for the fact to understand what is going on in their heads and what they are thinking. In this collection noting observations is critical as well, because they are reporting evidence and details that they might have forgotten to write before. Overall I think this collection is great as will aid many teachers in creating amazing lessons.
