Animal adaptations is one of my favorite things to teach my students about. I am attaching a set of task cards that I have used for this concept. I place them around the room and the students walk and answer on the provided sheet. The task cards are more for a review, or end of unit lesson though.

Good for Introduction

This chapter would be a good introduction to hook the students in the topic of structure and function of a plant. It is written in student friendly, conversation type narrative.

In depth

This scipack is a very in depth look at chemical reactions. In fact, I think it may be too in depth for me as a middle childhood teacher, but overall this is a very good resource.
