Kenneth R. Roy, PhD, is director of Environmental Health & Safety for Glastonbury Public Schools (CT). He also serves as NSTA’s Chief Safety Compliance Adviser and NSELA’s Safety Compliance Officer. He is principal partner and chief trainer/presenter for the Connecticut Science/STEM Safety Network. Dr. Roy also serves as consultant for CT State OSHA. Dr. Roy is both a nationally and internationally recognized safety specialist and an accomplished author of over 10 science and STEM laboratory safety books and over 800 safety articles in professional journals (NSTA, NSELA, ITEEA, etc.). He has presented numerous safety seminars, webinars, etc. for professional associations in North America, Europe and Asia. He received training as an authorized/certified Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) outreach trainer for General Industry and Construction. He currently is a technology and engineering education scientific researcher for Penn State University.
